Regarding Annual Giving

What do contributions for the Annual Giving Campaign provide?
Annual Giving contributions provide the enhancements to a St. Luke’s education. Tuition provides the backbone of St. Luke’s operating needs... faculty salaries, curriculum, instructional expenses, facilities expenses and general operating expenses. Annual Giving provides for enhancements to support each student’s education.... technology, library, and character education to name a few. 100% of the Annual Giving contributions go directly to program enhancements. These enhancements ARE The St. Luke’s Advantage.

What if I am unable to make a large contribution to Annual Giving?
We certainly hope all donors will give this careful thought and consideration and make the most generous gift possible for their family. If you cannot make the gift you would like to make, please make the gift you can. Every gift, in any amount, contributes to the total investment of our parent community. It is part of our shared responsibility in providing the very finest education for all St. Luke’s students.

Do I have to make my total contribution immediately?
No. The payment installment option allows you to contribute according to your monthly or quarterly needs until you fulfill your obligation. Pledge statements can be mailed to you as a courtesy to remind you of your payment(s). The Annual Giving campaign will conclude at the end of the School’s fiscal year, May 31, 2007. All contributions must be received by that date to be included in the 2006-2007 Annual Report.

Is Annual Giving the only fundraising opportunity at St. Luke’s?
No. There are other ways to support the School. The funds raised through the Parent Council augment the School’s operating budget by approximately 2%. Some of the activities that generate these funds include Sally Foster gift wrap sales, annual auction party, student raffle, Original Art Works sales, and Book Fair. However, Annual Giving is the single most important vehicle for raising funds that contribute to The St. Luke’s Advantage. 

Why is Annual Giving the most important vehicle for raising funds?
Your participation in Annual Giving sends a message that you believe in the mission of St. Luke’s Episcopal School. There is no better way to let everyone know that the School’s mission is widely accepted and supported by the entire parent community.
